Timothy Genthe
State Treasurer
Timothy Genthe has been a part of the Knights of Columbus since he joined the Pope John/Paul I Council #7370 in 1981. He has been active in numerous Council events and fund-raisers, chairing many of the committees, and held many Council offices before being elected as Grand Knight for two years in 1993. Council 7370 has awarded Tim, “Knight of the Month”, and “Family of the Month” many times since he has been a member of the council and has received Supreme Council’s Family of the Month.
Tim joined the Fourth Degree in October 1989, and is a member of the Rev Samuel Mazzuchelli Assembly #1202 in Lancaster. He served the Assembly in many of the officer’s positions and has chaired or served on many committees.
Tim served the State Council as a District Deputy in District 41 for three years (1994 – 1997). He was appointed as Madison Diocesan Programs Coordinator from 1998 – 2002. In 1997, he was asked to serve as Youth Athletic Coordinator, and was ask to serve as State Programs Coordinator in 2002. He held these positions until elected as State Warden in October of 2003. Tim was reelected State Warden at the 2004 and 2005 State Convention. At the 2006 State Convention in Wisconsin Dells was elected to the office of State Advocate and was reelected at the 2007 State Convention in Appleton. At the 2008 State Convention in Wisconsin Dells was elected to the office of State Treasurer. He received the Supreme Star District Award in 1996 and State Council’s Outstanding District Deputy Award for the Madison Diocese in 1995 and 1997. Tim was elected as a delegate to the Supreme Convention in 1997 in Montreal, Québec, Canada and also attended the 2003 Supreme Convention in Washington D.C, the 2004 Supreme Convention in Dallas Texas, 2005 Supreme Convention in Chicago Illinois, 2006 Supreme Convention in Orlando, Florida, 2007 Supreme Convention in Nashville, Tennessee and 2007 Supreme Convention in Québec, Québec, Canada. He was instrumental in starting a new council in Belmont. He sponsored many new members into his local council.
Tim and his wife Mary Jo were married in 1979. They have been blessed with two children Chad and Nichole. They are members of St Francis de Sales Church in Hazel Green where he serves as usher and lector at Mass. He has been committee chairman for St Francis Fall Festival for many years.
Tim has been a life-long resident of Cuba City. In the community he served as Scout Committeeman, Boy Scout Leader and Merit Badge Counselor.
