Richard H. Ammon
Immediate Past State Deputy

Richard Ammon has been a member of Supreme Advocate Harold Lamboley Council 1471, Monroe since 1977, and is a member of the Black Hawk Assembly 2464 which he was instrumental in forming and served as Area Coordinator.  He served as Grand Knight twice 1983-1985 and 1993-1996 and is a member of council 1471’s First Degree Team, District 42’s Second Degree Team and serves as a member of the Madison Third Degree team. In addition to serving as a council officer, he has been actively involved in the council’s youth contests, charity raffle chairman, concessions and scholarship committees, and St. Patrick’s Day Dinner. He served as District Deputy from 1989 to 1993, during which time he headed the District’s Vocation Donation Committee and formed the District’s Second Degree Team. He was appointed Madison Diocesan Program Coordinator from 1994-1996, and Fourth Degree Coordinator. He was elected as delegate to Supreme Convention held in Washington, D.C. in 1993. Richard is also very active in his community, serving as poultry superintendent at the Green County Fair, County livestock judging coach, County delegate to the Wisconsin Conservation Congress and Tri-State Breeders Cooperative and WIAA softball and baseball umpire. He received the Distinguished Service to Education Award from the Monroe Education Association and has participated in the community’s Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon and Apostolate to the Handicapped program. Richard was a Dairy Farmer for 35 years and now serves as maintenance supervisor for St. Victor's Church and School. A member of St. Victor’s Parish, he serves as usher, cemetery sexton and co-chairman, with his wife of 35 years, Lucy - of the annual Fall Festival auction. The Ammon’s have seven children. Richard was elected State Warden in 1996, State Advocate in 1998, and State Treasurer in 2000 and State Secretary in 2002. In October 2003, he became State Deputy. Richard was again elected to State Deputy at the 2004 Convention in Wisconsin Dells.
